Robert Bublitz is the founding and managing member of CIP Capital Advisors, LLC, a corporate transaction and capital formation advisory firm headquartered in Southfield Michigan.  Mr. Bublitz has over 45 years of experience in providing transactional, tax and related business advisory services to middle market companies and their owners. In addition to his professional career as a CPA, Mr. Bublitz holds the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor credential and has completed the NACVA business valuation analyst program.  

 

Prior to founding his professional services firm in 1991, Mr. Bublitz was a partner with Ernst & Young where he served in the dual role as partner-in-charge of international taxation and tax services for closely held companies in EY’s Detroit office.

 

Mr. Bublitz has served on the boards of a publicly traded information technology company and a securities-registered nonprofit lending organization, among other private organizations and entities. Mr. Bublitz presently serves as Chair of VIP Mentoring, Inc., a Southeast Michigan community service non-profit organization. In addition, Mr. Bublitz has various current and prior professional society affiliations.

Frank is a former Partner of JC Jones & Associates, a regional consulting firm based in New York. His clients have included companies in a wide range of industries, including automotive, industrial equipment and components, recreational marine products, and financial services.
During his tenure with the firm, he advised privately held and publicly traded clients on a broad range of strategic and operational initiatives, including financial restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate performance improvement. He also helped the firm achieve its first National Turnaround of the Year Award in 2005 with the successful restructuring of a $50 million privately held manufacturer of performance filtration and friction drive materials.

From 1997 to 2003, he was a Director with Woodward Capital Advisors, a private investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, capital restructurings and private placements of debt and equity for middle market clients. During his tenure, he originated and
executed more than $250 million of corporate finance transactions with several middle market clients including Remy International, Superior Products Company, and J&M Tool. 

He is a certified public accountant and an alumnus of KPMG. Frank is a former adjunct faculty member of Walsh College, where he developed and taught its graduate level course on capital equipment financing. Earlier in his career, he served as chief financial officer for various
publicly traded and privately held businesses. He holds a Master of Science in Taxation degree from Walsh College and a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Wayne State University

Steve Remstad’s career has spanned over 30 years in manufacturing and operations leadership with a diversity of organizations, including Tower International, Meritor, Camryn Group, Bordrin New Energy Vehicle, Gabriel and Hamilton Sundstrand. Mr. Remstad’s expertise covers a broad manufacturing spectrum including stamping, welding, coating/painting, assembly of body-in-white, chassis modules, seat assembly and suspension components, heat management, fluid systems, as well as specialized material handling for automotive applications.

Mr. Remstad’s career responsibilities and executive positions have included Engineer, Engineering Manager, Engineering Director, Director of Programs, Plant Manager, General Manager, Director of Operations, Global Director of Advanced Manufacturing and President. These roles have embedded the importance of cross functional team(s) and establishing accountability within the team(s) to launch products and build and facilitate factories on time and within budget. Steve touts lean manufacturing principles and design for manufacturing applications. Mr. Remstad’s leadership of multi-cultural teams, coupled with his technical knowledge, adds depth and breadth to the organization and its drive for success.

​Mr. Remstad has launched multiple programs over his long career; incentivizing companies through the establishment of greenfield factories in the United States, Mexico and China. Steve has also led turnaround situations, focusing on improving operational efficiencies – labor, material, inventory, supply chain-- both in the U.S. and Mexico; Mr. Remstad is impassioned and brings high energy, tenacity, leadership expertise, product development, new product launch experience and operational excellence to the organization.
